She was predeceased by: her parent John Howell Melton; her former husband Marion Johnson; her siblings, Paul Melton, Jarvis Melton, Jack Melton, Jim Melton, Amanda Lee, Nadine Bigelow Farmer, Mae West, Marie Lee Smithwick and Geraldine Boone; and her stepdaughter Lisa Harris.
She is survived by: her parent Hattie Wall Melton; her husband Benjamin Franklin "Ben" Harris of Dawson; her children, Ann J. Bass (Lee) of Dawson, Tammy C. Deen of Panama City, Florida and James Marion "Jimmy" Johnson (Mary Alice) of Dawson; her grandchildren, Teresa Freeman (Robby) of Dawson, Lisa Icard (Rex) of Dawson, Paige Garey of Leesburg, Tanya Scott (Adam) of Leesburg, Christopher Clark of Savannah and Jameson Clark of Newton; her stepdaughters, Linda Davenport and Dee Ellen Suarez; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Caregivers, Josie Renfroe and Betty Hallback; and her close friend Anthony Williams. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
