We are sad to announce that on December 24, 2018 we had to say goodbye to Laurel Smith (Dawson, Georgia), born in Amsterdam, New York. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Ardell Dennis Smith; and her son Dennis Ardell Smith, II. She is survived by: her parents, William Richard Gethin and Myrtle Denton Gethin; her children, Laurel Sandra Smith, William Gethin Franklin Smith (Nazare), Wendy Smith Edwards (Tom) and Robert David Smith (Margaret); her grandchildren, Andrew, Daniel, Gabriella, Matt, Nate, Alec, Stephen, Micah, Darrah, Philip, Kathryn and Joel; and her great grandchildren, Nalani, Matok, Eleanor, Josie and Amelia.

Laurel believed, "Flowers die and books live forever." Therefore, the family requests no flowers; donations may be made in Laurel Smith's memory to the Twin Oaks Elementary School Media Fund.
