He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Hayes of Dawson; his children, Lisa Ann Hodnett (Carl) of Dawson, Donna Edwards (David) of Dawson, John Edgar Hayes, Jr. (Bonnie) of Bronwood and Julian Wayne Hayes (Tammy) of Dawson; and his brother James Hayes (Ellen) of Cuthbert. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.
