He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Dykes Register and Frances Strickland Register; his wife Virginia Riley Register; and his brothers, Joe Register, Jimmy Register and David Register.
He is survived by: his children, James Thomas Register of Texas, Jack Albert Register Jr. of Arizona, Melinda Register and Wendy Register of Washington; and his siblings, Tommy Register of Oregon, Ken Register (Barbara) of South Carolina, Tim Register (Barbara) of Mississippi, Walter Register Jr. of Alabama, Nancy Tingle of Tennille and Chris Register (Christina) of North Carolina.
