He is survived by: his wife Sharon Mathews; his daughter Heather Mathews (Elizabeth Balderas); his stepchildren, Dewayne, Michelle and Kelli; and his brothers, Wesley Mathews (Shellie) and Paul Mathews. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
