It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edra Smith Wrye (Danville, Georgia), born in Claxton, Georgia, who passed away on September 15, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Smith and Vera Waters Smith; her husband John "Edward" Wrye; and her siblings, Erma Jean Wall (Fred), Larry Smith (Janis) and Audrey Bennett (Coy).
She is survived by: her daughters, Elaine Perkins (Chuck) and Elise Boyett (Keith); her grandchildren, Brandon Perkins, Candice Slade (Will) and Candler Boyett; her great grandchild Everette Slade; and her caregivers, Tracie Coulter, Heidi Bingham, Christie Zavala and Genie Dukes.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 4013 GA Hwy 358, Danville, GA 31017 or to the donor's favorite charity.
