In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Doris Hamm had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Doris Hamm may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William H. Hamm and Lottie Thompson Hamm; and her sons, Walter Rivers Self and Charles Self. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Raymond Gilder; her stepson Tommy Gilder; her sister Elizabeth Honeycutt; her grandsons, Roy Self (Savannah Cook) and Steven Self (Miranda Keller); and her great grandchildren, Wesson Cook and Bailey Self.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery (4013 GA-358, Danville, GA 31017).
