She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Wilkes Bowles and Flora Ann Carter Bowles; and her sisters, Marion Bales and Lois Burgess. She is survived by: her brothers, Delmar and Tom Bowles; her friends, Glen and Ila Restaurant; her sisters, Marie Hilley and Sandra Wardlaw; her daughters, Carol 'Glennell' Shadley (David) and Lorista Johnson (Stacy); her granddaughters, Kelli McCain, Kristin Power (Eric) and Courtney Johnson; and her great grandchild Carson Power.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the American Alzheimer's Association in honor of Glen Roland and his ongoing battle with this terrible disease.
