She was predeceased by: her husband Sparks Hix; and her siblings, Graham Nash and Zethel Cumuze. She is survived by: her parents, Euqued Nash of Danielsville and Mabel Nash of Danielsville; her brother Gary Nash of Danielsville; her children, Steven Hix of Danielsville, Mark Hix of Danielsville and Renee Hiel (Matt) of Jefferson; her granddaughters, Emily Adams (Stephen) of Alpharetta and Tori Hiel of Athens; and her great grandchild Alex Adams.
In honor of Maurine's love for children, donations may be made in lieu of flowers to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
