We are sad to announce that on August 6, 2020, at the age of 65, Elaine Nelms of Danielsville, Georgia, born in Athens, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Burkhalter and Eulene Leachman Burkhalter. She is survived by: her husband William "Bill" Howell Nelms, Jr.; and her children, Marion Hammes (Lorrie), Evan Veale and Cassy Nelms (Jeff Smith). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Gilead Baptist Church.
