She was predeceased by: her parent Hermina Weissensteiner; her godparents, Alois and Theresa Mosehammer; and her husband William Wesley Whatley (Bill). She is survived by: her daughter Cynthia Baker Garcia of Decatur; her grandchildren, Michele Baker Terry (Burt) of Decatur and Trey Baker (Tammy) of Woodlands; and her great grandchildren, Abby, Sydney, Hunter, Wesley and Ashton. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.

“I always knew this wonderful lady as Mrs. Emmy. When she lived in Damascus we became very good friends. I thought the world of her . We would go hunting and sit in the dear stand together. She laughed and talked in the stand . You would think we wouldn’t see a dear but oh we did. When Mr. Bill passed I went and stayed with her after work for weeks until she could stay by herself. I wished I had written down every story she ever told me . I was sad when she moved away . Kerry Jones”
