He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Mohler Carlson; his sons, Eric (Mechelle Carlson), Tony (Mary Carlson) and Andy (Molly Carlson); his grandchildren, Cody Carlson, Caleb Carlson, Rachel Carlson, Sam Carlson, Niklas Carlson and William Carlson; his great grandchildren, Brayden Carlson, Ella Kate Carlson and Layla Carlson; his brother Don; his sister-in-law June Carlson of Gainesville; his sister Karin; and his brother-in-law Bill Knight of Sugar Hill, Georgia..
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to Troop 60 (BSA) at Dalton First United Methodist Church, The United Way of Dalton Big Brother/Big Sister program, or the Mountain Top Boys Home in Sugar Valley, GA.
