He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry King and Vernell Cook Mann; his stepfather Robert Mann, Sr.; his grandparents, Horace, Sara King, Farley and Bessie Cook; and his stepbrother Robert Mann, Jr. (Robby).
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Smith King; his children, Courtney King Hitchens (Jack) and Andy King (Virginia Cook); his grandsons, Jackson and Sawyer Hitchens; his brother Steven Asa King; his stepmother Pat Panter King; his sister Lee Mann Hardin (Bill); his stepsisters, Mundy Mann Rado (Tim) and Leslie Mann Mallard (Robert); and his siblings-in-law, Mary White, Jean Lowrey, Anne Walker, Shirley Westmoreland (Gary) and Carl A. Smith.
