Peggy Ann Hammontree Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Peggy Ann Hammontree of Dalton, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 11, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Julian Walston and Tennie Ledford Hawkins; her husband Robert Hammontree; and her siblings, Juanita Kinsey, Jack, Roy and Junior Walston.

She is survived by: her children, Roxie Page (Kerry), Kay Gassett (Butch), Michael Hammontree (Jeanna) and Mark Hammontree; her grandchildren, Kendra Rievley, Andrea Torok, Matthew Hammontree and Willow Gray; her great grandchildren, Ryan, Lucas Rievley, Braxton Baker, Keeli Lackey and Harper Gray; her siblings, Bobby, Tommy Walston, Connie Hullender and Cathy Green; and her nephew Anthony Hullender.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Dalton Funeral Home (620 S Glenwood Ave, Dalton, GA 30721). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
