With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Newell Akins of Dalton, Georgia, who passed away on July 31, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ollie Akins and Vinnie Akins; and his sisters, Margaret Cargel and JoAnn Langston. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Akins; his children, Rebecca Akins and Tim Akins (Debra); and his granddaughter Rachel Akins.
