She was predeceased by: her parents, Taylor Atkinson and Nannie Atkinson; her husband James Atkinson; her children, Lester Atkinson, Judy Thompson and Vickey Atkinson; and her grandson Jeff Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Atkinson (Crystal) of Bedford Ky, Charles Rocky Atkinson (Mary) of Dalton, LeeRoy Atkinson (Christy) of Dalton, David Atkinson (Angie) of Dalton, Randy Atkinson of Dalton, Mickey Atkinson (Kelley) of Ooltewah, TN, Doris Hobbs (Lewis) of Taylorsville, Martha King (Kirby) of Dalton, Linda Earnest (George) of Cohutta, Patsy Jones (Bruce) of Dalton and Renay Blackwell of Dalton; her grandchildren, Johnny, Rickey, Terry Hobbs, Angie Barnes, Monica Hix, Conly King, Lakrista Atkinson, Shane Bennett, Ethan, Jake Albright, Melissa Henderson, Wendy Collins, Dustan, Derrick Atkinson and Daphne Blackwell; her sister-in-law Jeannette Fox of Cartersville; and her niece Bobbie Holloway of Dalton. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dalton Funeral Home (620 S Glenwood Ave, Dalton, GA 30721). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
