We bid farewell to Mary Jane Chitwood of Dalton, Georgia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 12, 2024 at the age of 91. Mary Jane touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband W. B. (Mooney); her mother Lillian Tibbs McClure; and her siblings, John T. McClure (Barbara), William Frank McClure (Elaine) and Marjorie Aileen Howard (Harry).
She is survived by: her children, Barnett, Jr. (Twinkle), Kim Bramlett (Randy) and Scott; her grandchildren, Colter Chitwood (Anna), Connor Chitwood (Molly), Lance Bramlett (Addie) and Lindsey Sims (Andy); her great grandchildren, Madison Chitwood, Bridger, Rollins Chitwood, Deklan, McKenna Bramlett, Caroline and Olivia Sims; and her friend Evelyn Lowery. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Love Funeral Home (1402 N Thornton Ave, Dalton, GA 30720). A committal service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Committal Chapel of Love Funeral Home (1402 N Thornton Ave, Dalton, GA 30720).
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to the Georgia Sheriffs' Youth Homes, 1000 Sheriffs' Way, Madison, GA 30605.
