It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joel Jeffery Padgett of Dalton, Georgia, who passed away on April 10, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Joe Padgett and Maggie Rollins Padgett; his wife Ruth Padgett; his stepdaughters, Kathy Sampson and Debbie Kendrick; his brother Bobby Padgett; and his nephew Chris Pack.
He is survived by: his children, Zach Padgett, Charlotte Walker (John), Jeffery Padgett, Jr. (Valerie), Beth Padgett, Casey Padgett, Pamela Gibson and Sherrie Rhodes; his siblings, Pete Padgett, Nancy Pack and Linda Larmon; his nieces and nephews, Keith Green, Kevin Green, Ken Green, Angie Bettis and Cyndi Summers; and his sister-in-law Judy Padgett. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dalton Funeral Home (620 S Glenwood Ave, Dalton, GA 30721). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
