With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jerry Dennis Nelson of Dalton, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 17, 2024 at the age of 82. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Nelson and Evelyn Roach Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Georgia Nelson; his children, Mike Nelson (Elena) and Donna West (Christopher); his brother James Nelson; his grandchildren, Katrina Watkins, Brianna West, Olivia Nelson, Michelle Martinez and Alvaro Nelson; and his great grandchildren, Bryson, Zachary Watkins, Lane Watkins, Ezra Lance, Spencer Jones, Liliane Nelson, Mason Martinez, Allison Martinez, Matthew Martinez and Ricky Ford.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dalton Funeral Home (620 S Glenwood Ave, Dalton, GA 30721). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
