With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Irvin Cooper (Dalton, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 17, 2025 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian "Buddy" Cooper and Ollie Mae Kenion Cooper; his siblings, Lanny Cooper and Anita Gail Turman; and his nephews, Ernie Oliver and Julian Maurice "Snook" Cooper.
He is survived by: his children, LaTerra Roberson (Dijon), Lindsey Taylor and Dontate Washington (Nidia); his grandchildren, Zykiria, Elijah, Amayah, Braxton, Mya and Dontate, Jr.; his siblings, Bernard Betton (Cheryl), Renard Cooper (Cynthia), Derrick Cooper and Cathy McPherson (Phillip); his sister-in-law Eunice Cooper; and his close friend Shirley Washington. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives.
The lying in state was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Willis Funeral Home Chapel (2011 Martin Luther King Jr Blv, Dalton, GA 30721). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
