He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Perry Hood and Mabel Faith Hood; his son Harold "Eddie" Hood Jr.; and the mother of his children Ruby Lee Arnold Hood. He is survived by: his wife Hazel Hood; his children, Charles Trent Duncan (Tammy), Tony Duncan (Carin), Faith Hood Morales (Martin) and Gerri Jones (Lee); his sister-in-law Betty Jo Arnold; and his grandchildren, Mercy, Hannia, Yamile Morales, Noah, Isaiah Jones, Tabitha Blackwell (Michael), Amanda Duncan (Rob) and Heather Cox (Jason). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
