He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Hoblitzell and Ada Belle Hoblitzell; and his brother Kenny Hoblitzell. He is survived by: his wife Suzanne; his daughter Melanie Thatcher (Phillip); his grandchildren, John, Ryan, Isabella and Rhett; his daughter Nancie Lowe (Ted); his grandchildren, Chapman, Judson, Teddie and Nikki; his son George Thomas Hoblitzell, Jr. (Stacy); and his granddaughters, Anna and Addie Grace.

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rock Bridge Community Church (905 Curtis Pkwy SE, Calhoun, GA 30701). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
