He was predeceased by: his daughter Sylinda Hughes; his parents, Charlie Hughes and Gertrude Hughes; and his sisters, Elizabeth Parker, Bobbie Hicks, Shirley Tatum and Lucille Gaddis.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Hughes of Dalton, GA; his son Ed; his daughter-in-law Rhonda Hughes of Chatsworth; his brother Charles; his sister-in-law Mildred Hughes of Dalton, GA; his grandchildren, Jada, Justin Watson, Brittney, Marcus Adams, Brianne, Josh Cherry, Alex and Alanna Ridley; and his great grandchildren, Cayden Cherry, River Cherry, Jazlynn Watson, Jayden Watson, Lillian Adams, Mason Adams, Colt Ridley and Maverick Ridley.
