He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Justice Bates; his daughter Tiffanie Shrader; his granddaughters, Isabel of Ringgold, GA and Raine Shrader of Ringgold, GA; his siblings, Jeanette Williamson of Ringgold, GA, Jimmy Bates of Ringgold, GA, Gene (Susan Bates) and Randy Bates of North Carolina; and his friends, Ernie Sanders of Dalton, GA, Rodney Hayes of Athens, GA and Joe Card of Ringgold, GA. He is also survived by family; several nieces and nephews.
