It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dalpha Elaine Austin Pender of Dalton, Georgia, who passed away on November 17, 2024, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Austin, Jr. and Lillian Marie Moore Austin; and her sister LaFrancis Marie Kline. She is survived by: her children, Christopher Pender (Angela), Christie LaShawn Blackwell (Scott) and Tremayne Pender (Jaime); her grandchildren, Preston Willis (Dominque), Ashlyn Pender, Christen Pender, Sydnee Pender, Dakota Blackwell, Sloan Pender, Sophia Pender, Autumn Blackwell and Chase Blackwell (Kayla); her great grandchildren, Pryson Willis, Lauren Willis, Lily Willis, Preslyn Willis, Peyton Willis, Parker Willis, K'Lee Davis, Kris Willis, Greyson Taylor, Teigan Dennard, Addie Blackwell, Rowan Dennard, Abram Blackwell and Gracen "Buddy" Harrell; her brother Steve Howard Austin (Pam); her uncles, James Howard Austin, Sr. and Larry Austin (Jacqueline); her aunt Mary Ruth Austin; and her cousin Gary Austin. She is also survived by other cousins, relatives, friends, and her church family.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Willis Funeral Home, Inc. (2011 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Dalton, GA 30721). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Mountain Ridge Missionary Baptist Church (1401 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Dalton, GA 30721).
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
