He is survived by: his sons, Joseph Slaton and Kenneth Slaton; his siblings, Herbert (Peggy Slaton), Thomas Slaton of Dalton and Louise; and his brother-in-law Robert Ledford of Lafayette. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
