He was predeceased by: his wife Juanita B. Harris; his parents, Clifford E. Harris and Mattie Bell Prescott Harris; his siblings, James Lloyd Harris, Vera Harris Thompson and Mary Harris Burgess; and also Virgil Clifton Harris.

He is survived by: his daughter Melanie Harris.
