She is survived by: her children, Tommy Anthony Macon (Avis) of Dallas, GA, Marcus Macon (Annette) of Dalton, GA, Timothy Macon (Angela) of Dalton, GA, Jerry Wayne Macon of Dalton, GA and Chinita Macon Hodo (Michael) of Decatur, GA; her grandchildren, Anthony Tyrone Macon, Hakeem Macon, Thomas Hodo (Scyler) and Sara Hodo; her siblings, Helen Harris of Rocky Face, GA and James Washington, Sr. (Pauline) of Dalton, GA; and her niece Coretha Weaver. She is also survived by great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family, and friends.
The lying in state was held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM. Visitation was held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Willis Funeral Home (2011 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Dalton, GA 30721). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 24th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Hopewell Baptist Church (3527 Airport Rd SE, Dalton, GA 30721).
