He was predeceased by: his daughter Phyllis Lautrell Cables West; his parents, Glen Cloer and Irene Cloer; and his siblings, Jimmy Jackson and Audrey Tucker.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Seritt Cables; his daughter Nises Quarles; his son-in-law Bug Reddix; his sons, Eric (Diane Cables), Matt (Debra Quarles) and Jason (Janie Cables); his grandchildren, Natalee Brooke Cables, Blake, Haleigh Palmer, Stachia, Corey Rogers, Alley, Hunter Payton, Garrett, Jessica Quarles, Latasha, Josh Williams, Dakota, Britt Lands, Kolby, Brandy Youell, Zach Smith, Cameron, Courtney Woodard, Jacob, Tayia Hewitt and Casey Cables; his great grandchildren, Brenley Williams and Liam Quarles; his brother Claude; his sister-in-law Gloria Jackson; his sister Mildred Ling; and his in-laws, Vergie, Steve Dean, Glenn Elrod, Shirley Parker, Jerry, Lynn Serritt, Ed and Brenda Shiver. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the City View Church of God (3688 Chatsworth Rd SE, Dalton, GA 30721). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
