She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Edward Earl Barrett, Jr. (Theda Louise) and Theda Louise Valentine; her brothers, Gary Barrett and Bill Barrett; her husband Don Syfrett; her daughter Amy Whalen (Cody); her grandsons, Gabriel, William, Samuel and Henry; her siblings, Tom Barrett (Jeanine), Cindy Barrett, Gloria Vitiello and Brenda Prebula; her nieces, Nicole and Courtney; and her close friend Rhonda Smith. She was also cherished by other nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, she would like donations made in her name to the Paulding County Animal Shelter.
