He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon and Gwendolyn; and his parents-in-law, Otis and Irene. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Eggie, Rich and Linda; his wife Linda Lou; his children, Jan, Jerry, Joe and Debi; his children-in-law, Bob, Kevin, Kelly and Colleen; his brother Norm; and his sister-in-law Carolyn. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to White Oak Springs Baptist Church's Roof Fund.
