He was predeceased by: his father Luby Earl Upchurch. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Upchurch; his brother-in-law Neil Brown (Mary Ann); and his nephew Terry Brown (Sherry).

In lieu of flowers, donations to be made to Paulding County Animal Control and the Shriners Children's Hospital.
