It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeannie Elaine Hughes of Dallas, Georgia, who passed away on December 3, 2024, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Jeannie Elaine has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her mother Edna Mae Wells Henry; her husband John "Johnny" Thomas Hughes; and her great-grandparent Josiephine Bragg. She is survived by: her stepfather Jerry Henry; her children, Christy Hughes Hembree (Kevin) and Johnny Ashley Hughes (Chasity); and her grandchildren, Gavin Hembree (Lexi), Dylan Hembree, Llana Hughes, Zeppelin Hughes and Bexley Hughes.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery (2562 Villa Rica Hwy, Dallas, GA 30157).
