He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Twyford, Sr. and Mildred Laney Twyford; his wife Kathryn Evans Jones Twyford; his daughter-in-law Terri Twyford; and his siblings, William Henry Twyford, Jr. and Virginia Stephens.
He is survived by: his children, James Whitmire Twyford, Jr. and Kathryn; his son-in-law J. R. Crowell; and his grandchildren, James Twyford, III, Andrew Ross Twyford and Allie Crowell.
