He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Gilbert and Lillian Gilbert (Edith Joy Gilbert); and his sister Ann Gilbert. He is survived by: his children, Chad Gilbert of Dallas, Sean Gilbert (Tee) of Dallas and Kristin Wiley of Dallas; his sister Virginia Gilbert of Marietta; and his grandchildren, Cody, Connor Gilbert, Ethan, Mackenzie, Mallory Wiley, Haley and Hunter Gilbert.
