He was predeceased by: his former wife Marsha Eulene Whitaker Atcheson; his parents, George Atcheson, Sr. and Vera Mae Rose Atcheson; and his brothers, Wayne Atcheson and George Atcheson (Junior).
He is survived by: his wife Debby Atcheson; his sons, Gary Atcheson (Michelle) of Mauk and Phillip Atcheson (Tammy); his stepchildren, Pam Lawrence (Will) of Rockmart and Shannon Sutton of Dallas, Georgia; his sister Becky Smith of Ranburne; his sister-in-law Jane Atcheson; his grandchildren, Cody, Ada, Kayla, Dustin, Ron, Heaven, David, Jacob, Charlotte and Caroline; and his great grandchildren, Will, Aden, Tanner, Della, Demi, Wyatt and Emery. He is also survived by "Papa" or "Pops".
In Lieu of flowers, anyone who wishes, may donate to Calvary Baptist Church in Rockmart, Georgia to their building fund or to their school program, Foundations Christian School.
