He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Young and Mary Young; his wife Betty Holtzclaw Young; his brothers, Charles, Bill and Dale Young; and his grandson Luke.

He is survived by: his children, Steve (Tina), Donna (Sam), Ed (Lynn), Tammy (Eldon) and Judy; his grandchildren, Casey, Mathew, Rachel, Justin, Tandra, Jake, Alisha, Joshua, Derek, Daniel, Jacob and Amber; his siblings, Tom, George Young and Ruth Phillips; his stepsons, Mark, Warren, Wendall and Myron Watkins; and his grandchildren, Christian and Jennie. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great granddaughters, children; along with a host of friends and extended family.
