Gayle Catherine (Savoca) Goldstein Obituary
Gayle Catherine (Savoca) Goldstein made her way into Heaven's Gates on Friday, January 26th, 2024, in the early morning while surrounded by those who loved her.
Gayle was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on November 4th, 1939, to parents Nicholas Savoca and Faye Hatcher.
As a child, Gayle enjoyed ballet, but as she grew older, her love of gardening and cooking took precedence.
She met her sweetheart, Gerald Goldstein on a blind date, in the mid 1950's and began sending letters to him until they married in 1961. They began raising a family as a devout Catholic woman in love with a Jewish man and were happily married for 56 years.
Gayle loved nothing more than her family, including her two sons, Kevin and Mark Goldstein, her grandson Kevin Goldstein, her siblings, Lavergne, Rebecca, and Debra, as well as her nieces.
Gayle and her husband remained active parents into old age and moved several times with their family, originally from New Orleans, to Arkansas, and finally to Georgia.
A public visitation will take place on Thursday, February 1st, 2024, at 5:00 PM at Patterson H M & Son Funeral Directors, located at 1157 Old Canton Rd, Marietta, GA 30068. On Friday, February 2nd, 2024, the funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM also at Patterson H M & Son Funeral Directors. A procession will follow to Cheatham Hill Memorial Park, 1861 Dallas Highway SW, Marietta, GA 30064.
