She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Franklin Thomas and Elihugh Sauls Thomas; her granddaughter Melanie Ashworth; her great grandchild James Brazil; her siblings, Jerald Thomas and Frankie Caldwell; and her half-siblings, Harold Thomas, Virginia Smith, Ruth Berry, Mary Etta Baker and Velona Wingate.
She is survived by: her children, James F. "Jim" Ashworth (Janet) of Dallas and Sheri L. Ashworth (Rick Goffin) of Roswell, Georgia; her grandchildren, J. Spencer Ashworth (Leslie) and Stephanie A. Brazil (James); and her great grandchildren, Kennedy Ashworth and McClain Ashworth. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
