She was predeceased by: her parents, Elsie Mae Harbison Brown and Carl McDaniel; her husband James Howard Vaugh; her son James Robert Turner; and her brothers, Robert Carlton McDaniel and Ronald Kelly McDaniel.
She is survived by: her daughter Becky Chester (Jim); her granddaughter Hannah of Marietta, GA; and her sister-in-law Shirley McDaniel of Cleveland, TN. She is also survived by niece and three nephews and numerous cousins.
