He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Dilbeck Johnson; his mother Claire Kirkland Johnson; his brother E. Lee Whitfield III (Teresa); his nieces, Bethanie Dailey (Scott), Lea Williams (Zach) and Jenna E. Chrisman; his nephew Walker H. Hardman; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Wyatt, Dean Dailey, Charlie and Huck Williams.
