He was predeceased by: his son Jeffrey Dan Karanovich; his parents, Rade "Fred" Karanovich and Julia Hegedus; and his siblings, Stephen Karanovich, Mildred Karanovich Grigonis, Mary Ellen Karanovich Trobovich, Jane Karanovich Meeks and Donna Rose Karanovich Hill.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Doman Karanovich; his children, Alan Karanovich (Colleen) and Cassie Karanovich; his brother Fred Karanovich; and his grandchildren, Christopher "Ryan" Karanovich, Evan Karanovich, Jamie Cook and Erin Kelly. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
