He was predeceased by: his parent Bedie Owen; and his grandmother Gainey Owen. He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean Brock Owen of Dahlonega, GA; his children, Jim Owen (April) of Gainesville, GA and Melanie Owen of Dahlonega, GA; his grandchildren, Samantha Leach (Alex) and Stephen Owen; and his sister Carma Lee Register (Harold) of Chipley, FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Peel Funeral Home. A graveside service was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Piney Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Washington County Public Library, 1444 West Jackson Avenue, Chipley, Florida 32428.
