He was predeceased by: his parents, George Marvin and Mildred Woody. He is survived by: his brother George; his wife Patricia Gwynn; his daughter Darlene; his son-in-law Jeff Bearinger; his granddaughters, Elizabeth Davis (Jay), Amy Edwards (Benjy) and Susannah Gibson (Grant); and his great grandchildren, Eric, Caroline, Andy, Henry, Ruby, Gus, Oliver and Harrison. He is also survived by extended family who he loved including a sister, brother, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dahlonega Funeral Home (20 Gibson Rd, Dahlonega, GA 30533). The lying in state will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Dahlonega Methodist Church (107 S Park St, Dahlonega, GA 30533). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Dahlonega Memorial Park (222 Turner Rd, Dahlonega, GA 30533).
