She is survived by: her granddaughter Shakelia Shorter; her children, Johnny Maye (Winnie), Arthur Robinson, Jr (Yolanda), Vera R. Cowart, Mary Starling (Marvin), Freddie Robinson, Melvin Robinson (Stacey), Sylvia Robinson, Sherion Shorter (Charles) and Jeanett Renfroe (Andre); her niece Louella Knighton; and her siblings-in-law, Laura Miller, Katie Freeman and Robert. She is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-seven great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren.
