He was predeceased by: his parents, Whit Paul Peavy and Anna Ree Law Peavy; his wife Louise Paul Peavy; and his brothers, Lamar Peavy and Melvin Peavy.

He is survived by: his children, Paula Roberts of Cuthbert, Karen Peavy of Heber City, UT and James Raymond Peavy of Cuthbert; his grandchildren, Shaun Roberts (Danielle), Anna Philmon, Christopher Peavy, Nicholas Peavy (Elliott) and Abby Sparks (Ben); and his great grandchildren, Kaytlin, Gage, Addison, Andrew, Whitney and Olivia.

Memorials may be made to the Shellman Methodist Church in care of Eva Ruth Rigsby P O. Box 85 Shellman, GA 39886.
