He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Montgomery Baker and Ed Baker; and his son Lavern Barfield. He is survived by: his wife Glenda Baker of Cusseta, Georgia; and his children, Charles Barfield of Cusseta, Delean Brown (Peewee) of Cusseta, Susan Kent of Cusseta, Damon Barfield of Cusseta, Curtis Baker of Cusseta and Dena Baker of Tennessee. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be given to the Wounded Warriors Project or any other Military Cause.
