It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bettye Simmers of Cusseta, Georgia, born in Kosciusko, Mississippi, who passed away on August 27, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlos L. Bailey and Mary Jane Bailey; her husbands, Robert and Wendell; and her daughters, Rebecca Smith and Tammye Simmers.

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Myryah White (Alphonse), David Smith, Ryan Smith, Jackson, Skye, Mason and Rylee; and her sisters, Sheila, Renee, Carlene and Leeann.
