She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hornsby and Mattie Hornsby; her husband Robert "Bobby" Johnson; her daughter Cynthia Gail Johnson; her brothers, William and George Hornsby; her niece Sheryle Pirkle; her parents-in-law, Gart and Ruby Johnson; and her brother-in-law Loran Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Bobbie Sue Cowart (Steve) and Caryn Burton (David); her grandchildren, Robbie Cowart (Kristie), Kendra Adams (Ben), Cameron Cowart (Lexi), Emily Chance (Cory) and Austin Burton (Krystin); and her nieces and nephews, Sharon Bagby (Gene), Debbie Thomas, Susan Hyde, Todd, Frankie and Tony Hornsby. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews along with 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory (210 Ingram Ave, Cumming, GA 30040). Viewing will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at the Sawnee View Memorial Gardens (1390 Dahlonega Hwy, Cumming, GA 30040).
