He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret McGowan (Finn) and Martin McGowan; his sister Mary Ceraso; and his brothers-in-law, Francesco Ceraso and Richard Ludwig.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Ludwig; his children, Kerry Sheline (Andy) and Kevin (Nikki Saccomandi); his grandchildren, Dylan, Declan Sheline, Lumen and Marcelline McGowan-Saccomandi; and his nieces and nephews, Federico Ceraso, Anthony Ceraso, Michael Ceraso, Amy Vergis and Sara Ludwig.

A reception was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Manchester Court Clubhouse.
